1. They focus on their strengths and gifts.
You may have heard the teaching that what you focus on expands. When you focus your energy on your unique gifts and strengths, your level of self-confidence instantly rises. The more you can see your worth, the more easily others will be able to see it! You set the tone for how others perceive you through your own self-love or self-judgement. This is a choice you get to make. Choose to celebrate and focus your attention on what’s uniquely you. This is where your true power lies! Confident people choose to focus on their talents on a daily basis, which positively impacts their relationships, business and health. It’s a powerful cycle!
2. They have an empowering mantra.
Confident people know the power in having a mantra. Practice building your confidence by repeating this mantra throughout your day: I embody and exude confidence, grace and passion in each moment. Use this mantra to bring your back into an empowered and confident state. Your level of confidence
3. They appreciate their beauty – inside and out.
Confident people take time each day to recognize and celebrate their inner and outer beauty. This practice is juicy, as it allows you to dive deeper into what you love about yourself. For example, you could appreciate how glowing and radiant your skin is, while also celebrating how peaceful and grounded you feel. You may already be noticing how amazing it feels to tune into this practice and vibration. This ritual brings you straight to the heart of confidence. This is the place to return to charge up, fill your cup and cozy up to your beauty and power.
4. They practice being a wonderful receiver.
Have you ever gotten a compliment and quickly pushed it away? It sounds something like this … “You look so beautiful today!” – “Really? I feel terrible, I didn’t even brush my hair.” This is a perfect example of how people often push away compliments, not allowing them to fully land and definitely not receiving them. On the flip side, confident people practice being wonderful receivers. If you compliment someone that’s confident they may reply with something like “Thank you, you’re so sweet” or “Thank you for noticing.” I’ve even recently heard “Yes, thank you, it’s true.” Being able to receive a compliment and welcome it with open arms is an amazing way to increase your confidence. Not only will you feel an energetic difference in your body, but also the people around you will feel it! When you soak in someone else’s compliment or praise, it shows that person that you agree and you honor yourself.
5. They don’t take anything personally.
This one’s a muscle you’ll have to flex and continue to practice and practice. The art of not taking things personally is one that takes a fierce commitment to staying open and curious. The more you can allow outside judgements (often times feeling like criticism) to roll off you with little no resistance, the more freedom, joy and confidence you’ll have. Putting yourself into a state of self-love, confidence and openness is a choice you get to make on a daily basis. As you practice not taking things personally and instead allowing people to have their experience of you (and really of themselves), you’ll notice you have a deeper sense of inner peace, truth and compassion. No longer will you allow other peoples judgements of you change the way you feel about yourself. Those days are in the past! You now step into a greater and more radiant Vision of yourself, with a strong devotion to your truth and inner guidance. Allow people to have their opinions of you and voice their feedback freely. Choose to receive it with openness and curiosity. There’s no need to make it mean anything – unless you’d like it to. Remember – how others perceive or judge you is about them, not about you.
